Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Carpenter Helper to join our construction team. This role involves assisting skilled carpenters in various building projects and fitting kitchens ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in construction and possess foundational skills in carpentry and related trades. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, supporting the development of essential trade skills.

Duties

Assist with fabrication and assembly of wooden structures and components Support carpenters in measuring, cutting, and fitting materials using hand tools and power tools Help with joinery tasks, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications Assist in roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and construction painting as needed Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and efficiently Maintain a clean and organised worksite, including clearing debris and securing tools Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment Support the installation of kitchens, fittings, and other building elements

Requirements

Basic understanding of carpentry, joinery, and construction processes Experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques is desirable Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labour throughout the workday Knowledge of roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work or construction painting is advantageous but not essential Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training as required Previous experience or training in construction-related trades such as masonry or electrical work is a plus but not mandatory

Pay: 10.00-20.00 per hour
