Carpenter / Multi Trades

Outline

To carry out a wide variety of carpentry duties within an Estate environment working on both new projects and restoration / maintenance works. Predominantly the duties involved will require working around existing tenants of the Estate.

Hours of work

o 7.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday

o 7.30am- 4pm Friday

Duties

Installation of doors windows and other fittings

Making various adjustments to existing fittings

Installation or replacement of Ironmongery

Timber frame repairs to windows, doors etc. utilising modern and traditional methods

Replacement of timber floors and skirting's

Installation of kitchens and Bathrooms with associated works

Taking measurements

Working within a team environment

Carrying out any duties as required by the team leader / manager

Bespoke tasks

Minor plumbing and drainage repairs

Patch Plastering / Tiling

Basic understanding of roofing works / repairs

Education

BTEC / City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 in Carpentry / Woodworking discipline or proof of works to a similar level.

Minimum of 5 years' post qualification experience of site or estate works in a similar role

Basic Health and Safety at work training within the last 3 years

Proven experience in multi trades

Being methodical and safety conscious

Being physically capable of performing the required functions, these include but are not exclusive to

Lifting of materials and component parts, tool kits, ladders and power tools

Fitting of materials and component parts in confined spaces often in awkward postures. To work at height safely and using all types of access equipment

Being respectful and well mannered

Understanding drawings, plans and written or spoken instructions

Positive and Can do attitude

Flexible

Teamwork

Project management and time management

Full clean driving licence

Pay: 36,000.00-38,000.00 per year
