Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Trade Manager to run our busy trade counter and help drive the next stage of our business expansion.

The Role



As Trade Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the trade counter, managing customer relationships, and ensuring smooth order processing. This is a hands-on role where you'll be dealing with suppliers, trade customers, and internal staff to deliver outstanding service.

Your role will be split between customer service, sales growth, and operational management - making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong business relationships.

Key Responsibilities



Order Management: Build, process, and manage product orders accurately and efficiently.

Customer Growth: Actively bring in new clientele and develop long-term relationships with trade customers.

Communication: Handle customer enquiries via phone, email, and in-person at the trade counter.

Client Management: Manage and maintain the full client base, ensuring a high standard of service.

Pricing & Quotations: Provide accurate pricing and quotations for windows, doors, and related products.

Payment Handling: Arrange and manage payments, ensuring all transactions are processed smoothly.

Logistics: Organise and oversee the collection and delivery of products, liaising with drivers and suppliers.

Operational Oversight: Run the day-to-day operations of the trade counter, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Skills & Experience Required



Previous experience in a trade counter, glazing, construction supply, or related environment is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of double glazing, windows, doors, or building materials is essential

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to build rapport with trade customers and suppliers.

Confident in pricing jobs, handling quotations, and negotiating deals.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Competent IT skills, including email, ordering systems, and Microsoft Office.

Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
