Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary. A good understanding of masonry, joinery.

Responsibilities

Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. Travel between 5-10 jobs in and around London carrying out carpentry and multi skilled works Fit fire doors Assemble furniture and other wooden items with precision and care. Conduct painting tasks to finish surfaces as required. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring they are safe to use.

Requirements

Previous housing or maintenance experience Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role in construction or woodworking. Previous experience in fitting fire doors Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to carpentry tasks. Knowledge of electrical installations related to carpentry projects is an advantage. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 kg) as required by the job. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members. A valid driving licence may be required for travel between job sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 40.00-45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 50 per week
