About the role
Ceredigion County Council's Youth Justice Team is a dynamic and multi-agency partnership focused on reducing and preventing youth offending. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Case Manager to join our team and support young people in Ceredigion.



The Youth Justice Team is situated within the wider Youth Service, which is a robust service committed to supporting young people's personal, social and educational development through specialised support and open access provision, to encourage all young people to reach their fullest potential to make informed choices to lead meaningful lives.



As a Case Manager, you will manage a diverse caseload including prevention work, out-of-court interventions, community sentences, custodial disposals, and remand management.



You will assess young people entering, or at risk of entering the youth justice system using a range of strategies and interventions and seek to identify their needs and assess the safety and well-being concerns they present.



You will manage medium and high-risk pre-court disposals, prepare pre-sentence and Referral Order reports, and coordinate through-care for those serving custodial sentences. Working alongside Courts, families and multi-agency partners, you will provide bail support, supervise community sentences, deliver restorative approaches and uphold safeguarding standards.



It is a key role held withing Youth Justice Teams to assess, support, prevent and divert young people from entering and re-entering the criminal justice system.
