Job summary
Grampian Conservancy is a growing team of 18 people. The Conservancy Office is around 2 miles outside Huntly on the B9022 Portsoy road and is where the majority of our staff are based. The Case Support Team are based in Huntly.
The conservancy team are busy, dedicated and enthusiastic carrying out a wide range of interesting and often complex casework and projects around our regulatory, grant giving and partnership remit. A key focus of our work is woodland creation with the Conservancies having a vital role in delivering the Scottish Government's woodland creation targets. Issuing and regulating felling permissions is also a large part of our work in Grampian.
Grampian Conservancy has two area teams each led by an Operations Manager, supported by the Case Support team and Office Manager.

Job description
You will be part of the Case Support Team and provide administrative support for the Conservancy's Grants & Regulations function and also an information and enquiry service to agents and the general public. You will also assist with general administration duties to provide support to the Operations Team and the Office Manager to ensure business needs are met and the smooth running of the Team and Office.
Main Duties
Assist in the processing of Forestry Grant Scheme applications ensuring compliance with guidance and policies;
Assist in the processing of EIA screening requests ensuring compliance with guidance and policies;
Processing Felling Permission applications within customer charter timescales;
Use of bespoke internal IT systems to assist in the processing of grant applications;
Support the administration of Forest Plans;
Maintain accurate records, both manually and electronically, and correspond with customers as required;
Provide advice and support to colleagues, applicants and external stakeholders;
General finance duties relating to processing invoices & managing supplier information;
Carry out general office administration and support to the team ensuring business needs are met.

Experience
Essential:
Experience of working in an office environment, in a team providing support to a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders;
Experience of planning, organising and managing workloads;
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages such as Outlook , Word and
Desirable:
Previous experience of grants and regulations administration;
Strong numerical skills.
