Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? If so, we'd love to hear from you! Come and join East Sussex as a Caseworker in our outstanding MASH team.
The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) is where professionals from social care, the police, health, housing and other services come together to protect children who may be at risk. It plays a vital role in making sure families get the right help when they need it most.
We're looking for a caring and committed Caseworker to join our team. Your day-to-day work will include talking with children who have been reported missing to understand their experiences and support them when they return home. You'll also help by gathering and sharing information with other agencies, and by preparing assessments that highlight when children may need extra support, particularly those with special educational needs.
This is a role where no two days are the same. The team is fast-moving and busy, but also hugely rewarding. Together, we respond to all requests for help across East Sussex, and we aim to make sure every family gets a decision within 72 hours. That means the work you do has a direct and immediate impact on the lives of children and young people.
To do well here, you'll need to be a good listener, a clear communicator and someone who can work well with families as well as professionals. Most of all, you'll care deeply about keeping children safe and helping them thrive.
In return, you'll be part of a supportive team where your efforts are recognised, and where you'll be able to develop your skills and experience. This is your chance to be part of something that truly matters, helping children and families find the support they need to build safer and brighter futures.
