The Role




We are seeking an experienced

Cash Administrator

to join our friendly and busy Accounts team, reporting to the Financial Accountant. This role carries full responsibility for the accurate accounting and banking of all cash and card receipts, ensuring compliance with cash handling procedures. Key tasks include collecting and counting cash, reconciling tills, investigating discrepancies, and posting sales.


The position involves regular routines as well as ad-hoc reporting. You will provide accurate and timely information to support the Financial Accountant and, as part of a small team, may assist other colleagues when required. Building strong working relationships across the organisation is essential, and we are looking for someone who is keen to make a positive contribution to our work.

Key Responsibilities



Oversee cash and card handling, banking, and reconciliations Process daily sales data and maintain accurate records in Sage 200 Administer petty cash, floats, deposits, and gift vouchers Provide purchase ledger support and assist with invoice processing Collaborate with retail teams and support finance process improvements

About You



Proven experience in a similar role, including cash handling and reconciliations (including bank), and accounts administration Highly numerate with strong Excel skills Confident using IT systems; experience with Sage 200 and EPOS systems desirable Ability to process large volumes of data quickly and accurately Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines Clear and articulate communication skills Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work effectively as part of a small team Strong relationship-building skills with a customer-focused mindset Proactive attitude and commitment to team success

Additional Requirements



Office-based at Snape Maltings, with occasional travel to Aldeburgh Willingness to support occasional out-of-hours activities
