37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday (06:00 - 14:00)

Salary:

Up to 16.97 per hour, dependent on experience.

About the role:



As a Casting Technician, you'll support our Engineering and Production teams in preparing and controlling the metal casting process. You'll ensure materials meet specification, maintain a safe working environment, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll be doing:



+ Preparing and controlling metal casting processes to meet production schedules. + Performing checks to ensure material quality and specification compliance.
+ Managing the casting area for efficient workflow.
+ Supporting sampling and production activities for repeatable processes.
+ Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
+ Implementing safe working practices in a high-temperature environment.
+ Assisting with audits and process improvements.

Who we're looking for:



You'll bring experience and a proactive approach to working in a technical environment. Essential skills include:

+ Experience of foundry processes and ideally automotive quality standards. + Knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe working practices.
+ Manual handling and HSE awareness training.
+ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Crane slinger, bobcat or overhead crane training (or willingness to train).
+ Ability to travel to site.
