The role
Our priority is to employ a strong candidate. Ideally, we are looking to employ an experienced Prosthetics Dental Technician to join us 3 days per week (9am-5pm) with occasional holiday cover (1-2 weeks per year at 5 days/week paid overtime). However, if you are looking for a full-time position, we are very open to discussing this. So, please don't let this stop you from approaching us.
Key responsibilities
Casting impressions; trimming plaster models; flasking
Bites, special trays, gum-shields, wax-ups, set-ups
Processing, finishing, and polishing dentures and prosthetics
Repairs, additions, and relines
Articulating and quality-control checks to ensure fit, function, and aesthetics
Direct communication with dentists for case planning
(Nice to have) Digital workflows: design and produce restorations with CAD/CAM; interpret digital scans
What you'll bring (essential)
GDC registration
Experience
Confident with all standard lab equipment
Familiarity with pourable technique
Great if you also have (nice to have)
Implant knowledge (e.g., Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Zimmer)
Experience with 3Shape software (and general understanding of CAD/ CAM)
Understanding of composites and staining techniques
What we offer
Salary: 24,000 per year for 3 days/week (40,000 FTE)
Hours: 9am-5pm, three days per week
Start: January/February (we can be flexible to suit you)
