We support families by providing a safe and fun environment for children and young people while their parents/carers attend work, training, or further education. Our clubs offer a wide range of play-based activities that keep the children engaged and happy.




Our Services




Term-Time


: 07:30 to 09:00 and 14:45 to 18:00




School Holidays & In-Service Days


: 07:30 to 18:00




What You'll Do as a Casual Childcare Practitioner




Plan and Supervise Activities


: Work with other

like minded

individuals to plan, create and inspire the children to engage in a wide range of activities and experiences.




Set Up Play Spaces


: Create magical, inviting play areas to allow the children to be creative and capture their imagination and interests.




Encourage Independence


: Support children to explore their interests, confidence, self-esteem and life-long skills.




Provide Nutritious Snacks


: Support children to make healthy snacks that cater to dietary and nutritional needs.




Handle Accidents/Incidents


: Be the hero in emergencies with your quick response.




Assist with Record Keeping


: Support the Senior Childcare Practitioner too ensure everything is organized and running smoothly.

Person






If you are someone who:




Is fun, engaging, adaptable, enthusiastic about working with children and young people.


Has experience of working with children and young people within a play, care or learning setting.


Is willing to work towards the SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People) or already holds a suitable qualification.

Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.






As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration. If appointed, you must start your application as soon as possible so you're registered within the required six months. More details are included in the role profile.
