Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Practitioner to join our team in our Home from Home setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare and early childhood education, with a passion for nurturing and supporting the development of children. This role involves working closely with children, providing care, and fostering a safe and engaging environment that promotes learning and growth.

Duties

Provide high-quality care for children in a childcare setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging activities that support children's physical, emotional, and social development. Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the nursery. Assist in managing daily operations of the nursery, including maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the environment. Support children in developing essential life skills through play-based learning experiences. Drive to various locations as required for activities or outings.

Skills

Experience working with children, particularly in a nursery or early childhood education setting. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. A solid understanding of childcare principles and practices, including early childhood education frameworks. Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability when working with children of varying needs.
