Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in commercial driving, particularly with curtain sided lorries and palletised goods, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

We are looking for multiple drivers to join our team on a casual basis for holiday cover, ideal position for someone who is semi-retired and doesn't want to be expected to work on a full time basis.

Duties

Operate curtain sided lorries to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency. Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads. Sign of Proof Of Delivery Electronically & physically.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, with a focus on commercial driving. Strong driving skills with a clean driving record. Excellent time management abilities to meet delivery deadlines consistently. Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
