How you'll make a difference:

As a Casual Community Meals Driver you will make a difference by delivering nutritious meals to members of the community who may not be able to cook for themselves.


What you will be doing:
You will be part of a dedicated team providing a vital service to a range of customers throughout South Gloucestershire. Working independently, you will have a regular round providing the opportunity to get to know your customers and build relationships. As a driver you will be able to navigate your way around the South Gloucestershire area confidently to deliver community meals in a timely manner.

What we need from you:
It is essential that you have a full driving license for this post. Ideally you will have knowledge of the South Gloucestershire area. You must be comfortable working independently. You will have good communication skills and be confident in interacting with people. We require you to be confident in making decisions knowing when to escalate any concerns. You will enjoy working at pace, able to balance your schedule with the needs of your customer.

What you need to know:
Community meals is a year-round service, including Christmas and Bank holidays. Based at the Council Offices, Badminton Road, Yate, Bristol, BS37 5AF. Working on a ad-hoc basis. Allowance: Sunday enhancement (time & half) Salaries pro-rated to hours worked. Your uniform will be provided. We will offer food hygiene and Allergen training if required. Please note that due to the nature of this role it is a requirement of employment that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is obtained for this post.


Interviews anticipated at the beginning of August 2025.
