We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Please note this role is on a casual basis and there are no set days or hours.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that stimulate children's learning and development.
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's development and addressing any concerns.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a cohesive approach to education and care.
Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, behaviour, and developmental milestones using computerised systems.
Support children in developing social skills through play and group activities.
Uphold health and safety standards within the setting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Experience
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
Previous experience in an educational or childcare setting is preferred but not essential; a genuine passion for working with young children is paramount.
Have a basic knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
Be able to work as part of a team.
