We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the necessary skills to support their development through play. This role is crucial in fostering creativity, social skills, and emotional well-being among young learners.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social interactions and emotional development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare. Maintain a clean and organised environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Support children's individual needs, providing guidance and assistance as required. Work as part of a team to create a nurturing atmosphere that promotes inclusivity and respect.

Requirements

Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential. A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children and parents. A genuine passion for childcare, with the ability to inspire creativity and enthusiasm in young learners.
This is a casual position (as and when) with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be required to carry out a DBS check paid for by the club.

Hours are Monday - Thursday 8-9am & 3-5.30pm with one evening staying til 6pm.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Temporary

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 14.5 per week
