! We are looking for a highly competent, reliable, and vigilant Security Guard to join our security team at
Fratton Park
.
As a Security Guard at Portsmouth FC, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe environment and ensuring health and safety compliance. You will be a visible presence on-site, delivering high-quality customer service to all visitors, while working under the guidance of our Security Team Leader.
Your Key responsibilities will include:
Active Patrols and Access Control
: Keep a vigilant eye on all entry points, including the Club Store and Ticket Office, to ensure only authorized individuals are on site.
CCTV and Equipment Checks
: Oversee surveillance and fire alarm systems to monitor activities around the Club's facilities. Equipment training will be provided.
Quick Response to Incidents
: Act promptly to handle any emergency, distress call, or disruptive behaviour to maintain safety and order.
Reporting and Documentation
: Log all activities accurately and report any suspicious actions to the police or your manager, following club Health & Safety and Safeguarding policies.
Receiving Deliveries
: Accept and record deliveries received at Fratton Park.
Shift Handover
: Provide a comprehensive handover at the end of each shift to ensure seamless security coverage.
Your skills and experience we are looking for:
Familiarity with Health, Security, and Safety guidelines is required. Knowledge of CCTV, surveillance equipment, and fire panels is desirable but full training will be provided.
Ability to act quickly and follow emergency response procedures in case of potential threats.
Proven ability to work calmly in high-pressure situations, thinking critically and problem-solving on the spot.
Can work both independently and as part of a team, with adaptability to lone working as needed.
Clear and effective communication skills, essential for interacting with both the public and team members.
Willingness to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the Club.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) is desirable.
