Requirements of Swimming Instructor
Hold the Swim England (SEQ) Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification or equivalent ie STA, which would require internal training and RPL during the first 6 months
Hold the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard or NRASTC Qualification or the ability to complete within the first 3 months of employment
Flexibility with working hours (daytime, evenings and weekends are a must)
Responsibilities of Swimming Instructor
Deliver high quality sessions in accordance with the Swim England Learn to Swim/School Swimming Charter Scheme, ensuring that all customers have a great experience.
Ensure that parents/teachers are aware of children's progression through the Aquatic Pathway by the effective use of KAL's recording systems.
An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Disclosure (DBS) is required for this post. A conviction will not exclude a candidate but will be considered as part of the overall recruitment process.
We need to make you aware that anyone who is still in compulsory education (last Friday in June in the school year in which someone reaches their 16th birthday) that there are some restrictions in place per this guide here , as such these roles may not be suitable.
