Job Description

Mowbray Foam Ltd are a foam and fillings suppler based in the East Midlands, primarily serving the furniture industry.

We are a family business established for over 20 years with a strong B2B customer base.

The job will involve deliveries/collections to and from 1 to 10 locations per day.

You will be driving any of our vehicles which range from 3.5 t vans to 18 t rigid HGVs.

We are located next to the A1, approximately 20 minutes east of Melton Mowbray, and 20 minutes south of Grantham.

About You

You will hold a category C (class 2) HGV driving licence and have some degree of past experience - we are a small business with no driver training facilities in-house.

The job will require you to load and unload your own vehicle, with help from colleagues for large or heavy items. Products range from small foam pieces to complete mattresses. A degree of physical fitness will be required.

When not on the road you will be expected to keep your vehicle clean inside the cabin and outside, and carry out a daily inspection to ensure roadworthiness.

You will need to have a valid driver CPC in order to start driving immediately, as well as a digital tachograph card.

Good customer service and communication skills are essential as you will be the face of the business when out on the road.

Time management and organisational skills are critical for this role as you will have to load the vehicle and plan your route in advance.

We operate a similar delivery schedule each week so once planned your routes will be relatively static.

We expect applicants to have a clean driving licence, and to obey all laws, rules, and regulations when carrying out their duties as a driver.

Additional Job Details

We open from Monday to Thursday and your working week will be a minimum of 35 hours.

You will be expected to present well to customers and wear appropriate provided PPE when necessary.

We are a small business and as such we will require help with occasional miscellaneous light duties in our warehouse and on the vehicles.
