Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your driving skills within a dynamic logistics environment, contributing to the efficient operation of our organisation.

Duties

Operate various types of vehicles, including vans & lorries, in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies Deliver goods to specified locations promptly and securely Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance Load and unload items efficiently, often requiring mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered Adhere to all traffic laws and safety standards during transportation Assist with warehouse duties when not on the road, including inventory management and organisation

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver, preferably with warehouse experience Knowledge of driving regulations specific to LGV drivers Experience with PDA's, electric pump trucks & curtain sideded transport is desirable Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is advantageous Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively Prior experience in logistics or distribution environments is beneficial
