Job Description
My London based public sector client is looking for a Category Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of Procurement, the role of Category Manager will be focussed on professional services and will be tasked with delivering savings whilst identifying improvements for the organisation.
On a day to day basis the role will include:
- To lead a specific strategic sourcing programme for the category, taking the lead on specific or allocated portfolio of sourcing categories and contributing significantly to the delivery of allocated procurement project within key markets
- To support the Head of Procurement in the delivery of cost and efficiency savings by analysing current spend profiles and developing appropriate procurement strategies.
- To ensure contract compliance across the organisation
- To meet customer requirements by demonstrating best value for money, through compliance with category priorities and contracts, and by actively managing the market place through the development of key strategies for supplier and contract management
- Working with key members of departments within the category area and provide input into projects and departmental objectives
- To liaise with colleagues at all levels to ensure compliance with organisational processes as well as public sector procurement regulations.
This is a permanent role and will require 3 days a week in the London office. Salary on offer is \xc2\xa358,000 to \xc2\xa365,000.
