We have an opportunity to support Skincare as a Category manager. You will be responsible for managing the Skincare and Compression Finished Goods categories, encompassing products within the Advanced Wound Management franchise.

Working cross functionally to construct, continuously develop and implement the category strategy, you will own day-to-day responsibility for supplier management. This includes leading sourcing decisions, supporting the new product development process and supervising supplier performance. Ensuring consistency is key within this role, therefore you will utilise compliant, standard methodologies to provide guidance to suppliers, as well as the best pricing and delivery requirements.

Proactively taking ownership, leading sourcing projects and innovation activities, you will have a strong background of category management, with a talent for building and managing relationships with collaborators.

Essential Job Functions

  • Evaluate and approve suppliers, direct supplier strategy and negotiate complex contracts for procurement of assigned products.
  • Participate in Supplier Review process by collecting and analysing data, reporting risks and delays due to non-conformance.
  • Manage projects and supplier relationships effectively while implementing programs that drive performance and mitigate risk.
  • Lead cross-functional business activities that identify, qualify, arrange and successfully implement new suppliers or manufacturing processes.
  • Understand parts, processes and suppliers of assigned medical devices and cosmetics products.
  • Evaluate and support supplier/part strategies and ensure the successful implementation of new product launches as well as continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Research and monitors industry trends (sourcing, technology, market price) as applicable.
  • Lead all negotiations with suppliers in the assigned category utilising a high value-adding strategic methodology.
  • Influence internal customers to implement a purchasing strategy that yields lowest total cost while achieving market driven service levels.
  • Perform activities in compliance with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and labour standards programs as well as quality standards or regulations concerning the products supplied.
Requirements
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a relevant field, or, equivalent experience in a procurement environment.
  • Experience efficiently implementing cost, risk and quality measures with the ability to understand cost planning to influence strategies.
  • Strong communication skills with proven track record of proactively developing and nurturing supplier relationships
  • Proven track record of delivering improved supplier performance in terms of cost, quality and delivery.
