Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Category Planning Co-ordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the planning and execution of category strategies, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and coordinating with various departments to achieve business objectives. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively.

Principle Responsibilities:



Category Planning:

Assist in the development and implementation of assigned category plans to meet department objectives; this includes the set up and management of production lines & procurement of materials from pre-approved suppliers.

Inventory Management:

Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability and minimize excess stock, including the procurement of raw materials to meet the planned production.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the production, sales, and product design teams to gather necessary information and align existing & new category strategies.

Supplier Coordination:

Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any supply chain issues.

Reporting:

Prepare regular reports on category performance and provide insights for continuous improvement.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in category planning.

Qualifications:



Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred)

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

Skills:



Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with inventory management software and databases. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of the manufacturing industry is a plus.

Working Hours:

42.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday from 8am until 5pm. 30 minutes lunch break unpaid and two paid tea breaks of 15 minutes each.
