Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring that our catering services run smoothly and efficiently, providing exceptional service to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in food preparation, contributing to the overall success of our catering events.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for catering events, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Set up and dismantle catering equipment and displays, maintaining a clean and organised workspace. Provide excellent guest services during events, ensuring all guests receive prompt attention and assistance. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages. Support the management team in executing event logistics, including inventory management and equipment checks. Assist with bartending duties as needed, ensuring responsible service of alcoholic beverages. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or catering environments is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety practices is advantageous. Experience in guest services within hotels or restaurants will be beneficial. A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills are essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
