VAF113: BANK CATERING ASSISTANT (MAYFLOWER CAMPUS)

Casual Hours (as and when required between 7:00am - 4:00pm)

Join our small, welcoming team at the Mayflower Cafe and play a vital part in delivering excellent hospitality to students, staff, and the wider community.
As a bank Catering Assistant, you'll work alongside our Cook to support the smooth running of the Mayflower Cafe -- helping with food preparation, service, clearing, and keeping everything sparkling clean and customer-ready.
This flexible role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in high standards, and is looking for hours that fit around other commitments. You'll step in during busy periods, holidays, or staff absence, helping us maintain the friendly, efficient service our customers love.
Your duties will include:
Serving snacks, drinks, and buffets with a smile
Clearing tables and keeping dining areas clean and tidy
Washing crockery and cutlery ready for re-use
Supporting food hygiene procedures (Safer Food Better Business) and recording all checks
Helping with stock rotation, ordering, and cash handling
We're looking for someone who:
Has a positive attitude and great customer service skills
Works well in a team and takes pride in doing a good job
Is flexible and reliable with a willingness to learn
Holds or is willing to gain a food hygiene qualification
