Monkton Combe School is a thriving independent school dedicated to providing an exceptional environment for our pupils. We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic, and hardworking Catering Assistants to support our busy and high-quality in-house catering department.

We can offer shifts on a casual basis for functions, events, or staff cover - perfect for anyone looking for flexibility in when you work! If you're looking for a more predictable working pattern, we can offer contracted weekend work on either Saturday or Sundays.

Our Catering Assistants play a vital role in ensuring smooth service and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene in our dining hall and kitchens. You'll need to be well presented with a welcoming smile and be in the right place at the right time to deliver these services. You'll be reliable and punctual, with the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with chefs and other catering staff.

What you'll do:

Assist with the service of meals (breakfast, lunch, and supper, depending on shift), ensuring food is presented attractively and served efficiently to pupils, staff, and visitors. Prepare the dining hall for meal times, including wiping down tables, setting up service stations, and restocking drinks and cutlery. Adhere strictly to all Food Safety and Hygiene regulations, including correct uniform, temperature checks, and maintaining a clean workstation. Support the catering team with preparation for special events, functions, and school occasions as required.
