Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality and catering industry, providing support during events and ensuring high standards of service. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining food safety and hygiene standards. Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or restaurant environments is advantageous, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and presentation to ensure quality standards are met Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the catering area, including washing up and sanitising utensils and equipment Support with setting up and clearing event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, and tableware Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times Restock supplies as needed during service periods Provide excellent guest services by addressing enquiries promptly and courteously Assist with inventory management and stock control for catering supplies

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or restaurant service is preferred but not essential Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour Flexibility to work during busy periods, including weekends or evenings if required A professional attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding guest experiences

Pay: 16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
