If you have an interest in the provision of school meals for children of all ages, you could be perfect for this career. Why not join one of our many teams of Catering Assistants in Schools and Nurseries within Cowdenbeath, Dunfermline, Glenrothes and Inverkeithing. We have several permanent vacancies and a temporary vacancy to join our teams all working various hours per day as required between 11:00am to 2:00pm, Monday to Friday.



PRIMARY SCHOOLS





Dunfermline





Carnegie Primary School - 1 post x 10 hours per week (2 hours per day as required between 11:30am to 2:00pm), 38-week contract.

St Leonards Primary School - 1 post x 10 hours per week (2 hours per day as required between 11:30am to 2:00pm), 38-week contract.

Lynburn


Primary School - 1 post x 10 hours per week (2 hours per day as required between 11:30am to 2:00pm), 38-week contract.





Glenrothes





Rimbleton


Primary School - 1 post x 10 hours per week (2 hours per day as required between 11:30am to 2:00pm), 38-week contract.





HIGH SCHOOLS





Dunfermline





Dunfermline Learning Centre - 1 post 1 x 10 hours per week (2 hours per day as 1:00pm to 3:00pm), 38-week contract.




Cowdenbeath





Beath High School - 1 post x 15 hours per week (3 hours per day as required between 10:00am to 2:00pm), 38-week contract.

Beath High School - 1 post x 10 hours per week (2 hours per day as required between 10:00am to 2:00pm), 38-week contract.




Inverkeithing





Inverkeithing High School - 1 post x 10 hours per week (2 hours per day as required between 10:00am to 2:00pm), 38-week contract.




You will earn a competitive salary of

24,740.74 pro-rata


and have access to a range of benefits, including:




We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of 13.18 per hour for this post.
plus

extra payments for shift work, including weekends.



Pay is annualised (equal instalments every 4 week pay period).


Membership of Fife Pension Fund which is part of the Scottish Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS Scotland).

Travel expenses will be paid - we pay 45 pence per mile to staff using their own car in mobile posts.

This work is about providing customer service, ensuring pupils and staff receive hot or cold meals every school day. You will go home each day knowing you have made a difference whether its Breakfast Club, Morning Break or Lunch you have served. On the job training is given working towards a Food Hygiene Certificate.




The Person






No specific qualification is required for this post as full training will be given.






Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.

You will be required to attend an Induction Training Day before starting in post.
