Job Summary

Term time role - Monday to Friday. Experience and knowledge of working in a kitchen and supporting with food preparation and cooking is required.
We are seeking a dedicated and personable Catering Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the smooth operation of catering events by providing exceptional customer service, assisting with food presentation, and ensuring a high standard of food safety and hygiene. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment, contributing to memorable dining experiences for our clients. Prior experience in fine dining, banquet service, or food handling is highly valued, along with a passion for the food industry and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and presentation to meet event specifications and quality standards Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests during catering events Set up and break down catering stations, ensuring cleanliness and organization throughout the event Support dietary accommodations by understanding menu requirements and adhering to food safety protocols Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service to guests Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of services and smooth event operations Handle food safely, following all health regulations and safety guidelines Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, catering, banquet, or restaurant environments preferred Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Ability to serve in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Experience in fine dining or hospitality settings is a plus Food industry background including barista experience or dietary aide experience is advantageous Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation Flexibility to work during event hours, including evenings and weekends as needed

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
