CATERING ASSISTANT
12 hours per week, Term Time Only
(Fixed Term maternity cover until July 26)
We have an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated Catering team. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the team to maintain our high standards of service.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible Collecting and washing up pots and pans Cleaning food preparation areas and equipment, in addition to crockery and cutlery Unloading food and equipment deliveries Keeping store room organised Keeping work surfaces, walls and floors clean and sanitised Food preparation including preparing some salads or desserts
The successful candidate will ideally have previous catering experience, preferably within an educational setting. A level 2 food safety qualification. or willing to undertake is also required.
Hours of work are to cover the lunch time period:
1 x 12 hours per week, term time only (Fixed term - Maternity cover)
Monday to Wednesday - 11.30am to 1.30pm
Thursday & Friday - 10.30am to 1.30pm
The salary range for this role is SFCA Support Staff pay points 3,
currently 24,759 full time equivalent
. As the position is part time, the actual salary will be:12 hours per week =
6,662.40 per annum
(12/37*190/229 = 0.2690 FTE)Other benefits include: generous Local Government pension scheme, free gym Facilities, free parking, Cycle to Work Scheme, excellent on-site catering provision.
