We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, contributing to the preparation and presentation of food for various events inside and outside of restaurant . Duties

Assist in food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Support cooking activities, following recipes and maintaining consistency in food production. Assist in the recruitment, training, supervision of staff , including planning staff shifts and rotas. Supervise and manage kitchen staff during events, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety regulations. Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment. Engage with clients to understand their catering needs and preferences, ensuring satisfaction throughout the event. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety standards. Assist with serving food and beverages during events, providing excellent customer service. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics for catering events.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is highly desirable. Culinary experience with a strong understanding of food production techniques. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential for maintaining hygiene standards. Supervising experience with proven team management skills is an advantage. Excellent leadership abilities, demonstrating the capacity to motivate and guide staff effectively. Strong hospitality skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. Experience as a barista or in hotel catering services is beneficial but not mandatory. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
