1 shift per week - 12 hours.


We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Catering Assistant to join our team in a specialist dementia care home. You'll play a vital role in supporting the kitchen team to deliver nutritious, well-presented meals that meet the individual needs of our residents. This is more than just a catering job--it's an opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing and comfort of people living with dementia.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks in accordance with dietary requirements Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment Support residents during mealtimes with kindness and patience Follow food safety, infection control, and health & safety procedures Help with stock rotation and deliveries Communicate effectively with care staff to ensure residents' preferences and needs are met

About You:

Previous experience in a catering or kitchen assistant role (care home experience is a plus) Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate desirable) Empathetic and respectful approach to working with people living with dementia Good communication skills and a team player attitude
