Catering Assistant Part Time
Job Description
The Kent & East Sussex Railway is one of the UK's most loved heritage railways, located in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are now seeking a catering assistant to help us deliver our popular dining services. The position is based at Tenterden Town Station and the successful applicant will undertake a variety of catering duties including serving customers in our station outlets and on-board our trains, and food preparation. You must be able to work quickly and consistently under pressure, yet always with pride; ideally you will have experience of commercial catering, however enthusiasm and a willingness to work hard is all that's required as full training can be provided.
Key Skills:
Able to deliver excellent and consistent levels of customer service
Experience of working in a catering or hospitality environment
Awareness of hygiene and food safety - basic cooking experience an advantage
Good communication skills and a positive disposition are essential
Able to work as a small team, on your own initiative or as directed
You should be flexible and able to work shifts any day of the week. Hours of work will typically be variable and flexible, up to 37.5 hours per week. Applicants for this position must have the right to work in the UK.
Pay: From 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 1 - 37.5 per week
Work Location: In person
Expected start date: 01/09/2025
