We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our fantastic catering team at Dalby Forest Cafe on a flexible, casual basis. As a Catering Assistant, you will be part of a hard-working, friendly group who all have the same goal - to deliver exceptional customer service to our visitors. Nestled in the heart of the North York Moors, Dalby Forest Cafe offers a warm and welcoming environment for visitors to relax and enjoy quality food and drink after exploring the forest's beautiful trails and attractions.


The successful Catering Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including providing a friendly and welcoming service to all cafe visitors, assisting with the preparation and service of food and beverages, serving customers and operating the till, clearing tables, pot washing, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, handling cash, and supporting stock control processes.

Shifts

Shifts will vary between Monday and Sunday. This is a casual zero-hours position, typically involving daytime weekend work and one day midweek, with additional hours available during school holidays.

Our ideal Catering Assistant will:

Be aged 17 or over Possess a warm, friendly and welcoming personality Have a passion for delivering outstanding service, greeting customers with a smile and serving them with pride Take initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers Be an excellent team player with great communication skills Have a desire to succeed in your role Possess the ability to work under pressure Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability Maintain high standards of food hygiene and health and safety at all times Previous catering experience isn't essential - what's most important is a positive attitude and a willingness to learn!
