Catering Assistant

Daytime shifts (no late evenings) - part-time/full-time available

The Busy Bee Garden Centre Cafe is a warm and welcoming spot for customers to relax and enjoy freshly prepared food within a friendly, community-focused environment. We are looking for a positive and reliable Catering Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in good service, and thrives in a busy and varied day.

What You'll Be Doing:

Greeting customers and providing helpful, attentive service Preparing and serving hot and cold food and beverages Operating the coffee machine and preparing barista-style drinks (training provided if needed) Maintaining cleanliness of the cafe, including tables, counters, and service areas Assisting with basic food preparation and plating Ensuring stock is rotated and appropriately stored Using the till to process orders and handle payments accurately Adhering to food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards at all times Helping to set up, clear down, and keep the cafe running smoothly Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team atmosphere

We Are Looking For:

A friendly and approachable attitude Good communication and team-working skills Ability to work efficiently during busy periods Attention to detail and pride in quality Previous cafe or catering experience is helpful but not essential - we provide training
