We are looking for a friendly and efficient Catering Assistant to support the preparation and delivery of nutritious meals for residents living with dementia. You'll play a vital role in maintaining a positive dining experience that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and serving meals in accordance with dietary requirements and care plans.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
Support residents during mealtimes with sensitivity and respect.
Follow food safety, infection control, and health & safety procedures.
Help with stock rotation, deliveries, and kitchen organisation.
Work collaboratively with care and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
Requirements:
Basic food hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Previous experience in catering or hospitality preferred.
Understanding of the needs of people living with dementia.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable, flexible, and committed to high standards of service.
