We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of catering operations within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing food preparation, supervising staff, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. Duties
Plan, organise, and oversee catering events, ensuring all client requirements are met to a high standard
Supervise kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and excellent service
Coordinate food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining quality and presentation standards
Manage food production schedules, inventory control, and procurement of supplies
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards across all catering activities
Develop menus in collaboration with clients, incorporating dietary restrictions and preferences
Oversee the setup and breakdown of catering events, ensuring timely delivery and presentation
Train new staff members in food safety procedures, service protocols, and organisational policies
Maintain excellent communication with clients to ensure their expectations are met or exceeded
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a hospitality or restaurant environment
Strong supervising experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations applicable to catering services
Demonstrated leadership qualities with a focus on team management and motivation
Experience in food production, serving, and hospitality environments such as hotels or restaurants
Familiarity with culinary techniques and menu development
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members
