We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Manager to lead our catering operations and ensure exceptional service delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary knowledge, and a passion for hospitality. The Catering Manager will play a pivotal role in coordinating events, supervising kitchen staff, and maintaining seamless operations across various catering functions.

Duties



Oversee all aspects of catering services, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation. Supervise and manage catering staff, ensuring efficient team management and high-quality service delivery. Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and customise menus accordingly. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards within the kitchen and service areas. Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and oversee food production to meet demand. Supervise food serving at events, ensuring timely and professional presentation. Develop and implement standard operating procedures for catering operations. Train new staff members in food safety practices, service standards, and kitchen procedures. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth event execution and client satisfaction. Monitor financial aspects of catering operations, including budgeting and cost control (note: this position is paid).

Qualifications



Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and supervising within a hospitality environment such as restaurants or hotels. Strong team management skills with previous supervisory or leadership experience in catering or culinary roles. Extensive knowledge of food safety standards, food production processes, and kitchen operations. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously. Experience in serving at events or within hospitality settings is highly desirable. Background in restaurant or hotel environments preferred; barista experience is a plus but not essential. Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.
