We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of catering operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing food preparation, supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and delivering exceptional service for a variety of events. Responsibilities
Plan, organise, and oversee catering operations for events, functions, and daily services
Supervise and lead catering staff, including chefs, servers, and support personnel
Ensure all food preparation and cooking meet established quality standards and safety regulations
Manage food production processes, including menu development and ingredient sourcing
Maintain compliance with food safety legislation and implement best practices in hygiene and cleanliness
Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and deliver customised catering solutions
Oversee stock control, inventory management, and procurement of supplies
Train new staff members and provide ongoing professional development opportunities
Monitor service delivery to ensure customer satisfaction and handle any issues promptly
Collaborate with other departments such as event planning, logistics, and facilities management
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting
Supervising experience with strong team management skills
Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and staff
Experience in food production, hospitality services, or hotel environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of serving protocols in diverse settings such as corporate events or private functions
Competence in managing food service operations including barista experience or bar management is advantageous
