Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Manager to oversee the planning, organisation, and execution of catering services across various events and venues. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a diverse team while ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Duties



Coordinate and supervise all aspects of catering operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation. Oversee the preparation and cooking of food items in accordance with safety standards and client specifications. Manage a team of kitchen staff, servers, and other catering personnel to ensure smooth service delivery. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout all operations. Organise staffing schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to optimise efficiency. Liaise with clients to understand their requirements, provide recommendations, and ensure their expectations are met or exceeded. Oversee the setup and breakdown of catering events, ensuring all equipment and supplies are appropriately managed. Maintain inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage budgets effectively. Train staff in food safety procedures, customer service excellence, and operational protocols. Monitor service quality during events and address any issues promptly to uphold the organisation's reputation.

Qualifications



Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant environment. Supervising experience with a strong background in team management and leadership roles. Extensive knowledge of food safety standards, food production processes, and hygiene regulations. Experience working in hotels or similar large-scale hospitality settings is highly desirable. Skills in serving guests professionally while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members. Previous experience in restaurant or culinary management roles is preferred; barista experience is a plus but not essential.
