Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Catering Manager to oversee our catering operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the hospitality industry, with experience in Care homes, hotel, culinary, or restaurant settings. This role requires excellent organisational skills, a passion for food production, and the ability to supervise a team effectively. The Catering Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all catering services meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Duties



Plan and coordinate menus, ordering and compliance. Supervise food preparation and presentation to maintain high culinary standards. Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health standards. Collaborate with the home manager and residents to create customised menus that suit their needs. Conduct staff training on food safety practices and kitchen procedures. Monitor event execution to ensure smooth service delivery.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a catering management role or similar position within the Care home hotel, culinary, or restaurant industry. Strong knowledge of food production techniques and food safety regulations. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. A passion for food preparation and an understanding of current culinary trends.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 16.65 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
