Job Description

Glenmore Bakery Ltd is a well established Family Run Bakery situated in West Somerset. We supply Freshly Baked goods on a Retail & Wholesale basis throughout the area.

We have a new position opening due to Business Expansions. We are looking for a Catering Manager to oversee our Two Kitchens (Williton & Minehead) and our Sandwich production Room.

Previous Catering management experience is a must



The position is full time and our kitchens operate between the hours of 04.30 - 16.30 Monday - Saturday so flexibility between these hours is a must.

The Starting Salary is 29,556.80 (Based on 14.21 p/hour over 40 hours) - Future rises will be discussed upon interview.

Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Manager to oversee all aspects of catering operations within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising catering services to ensure exceptional quality and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a passion for culinary excellence. The Catering Manager will play a pivotal role in managing kitchen staff & Sandwich making/ Prep Staff whilst maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring the smooth delivery of daily tasks.

Duties



Oversee daily catering operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet customer expectations. Supervise and manage catering staff, Including a Sandwich production room. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout all catering activities. Monitor quality control throughout our daily operations Manage rotas and staff holidays. Develop staff schedules and oversee training programmes to enhance team performance. Place daily orders. Work alongside other department managers, supervisors & company owners to keep help keep the Business moving forward Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and health & safety documentation.

Skills



Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and culinary arts within a professional setting such as restaurants & kitchens.

Strong supervisory experience with team management capabilities.

Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple events simultaneously. Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment. Experience in food production, kitchen management, or hospitality sectors. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and service delivery.
