As a Catering Retail Assistant, you will provide excellent customer service to staff, patients, and visitors, while assisting in the preparation and serving of food and beverages. In return you be working with an experienced team working with fresh local ingredients and the best equipment.

Operating POS tills and handling cash transactions

Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and approachable manner
Take orders and accurately input into POS system
Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with food safety guidelines
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including adhering to all infection control measures
Keep track of inventory and report any shortages or expired items to management
Handle cash, credit card and mobile payments and reconcile the cash register at the end of each shift
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient cafe operations as a team
Maintain an excellent level of customer service, ensuring to deal with customer complaints and resolving any issue where necessary
Adhere to the NHS policies and procedures, including NHS safety regulations and operational standards
Perform any other duties as assigned by management
