Catering staff are responsible for supporting food service operations at events, workplaces, or hospitality settings. They ensure high-quality service, maintain cleanliness, and contribute to a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation
Set up dining areas, service stations, and event spaces
Serve food and beverages to customers in a professional and friendly manner
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and service areas
Follow food safety and health & safety guidelines
Handle basic customer inquiries and provide excellent service
Assist with loading/unloading equipment and event materials
Clear tables, wash dishes, and support general cleaning tasks
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, supervisors, and event managers
Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during busy service periods
Skills & Requirements:
Previous catering or hospitality experience preferred (not essential)
Good communication and customer-service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude
Basic understanding of food hygiene standards
Flexibility with working hours (including evenings/weekends depending on events)
Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
