  • Develop practice in the assessment of health and wellbeing needs.
  • Develop practice in addressing individuals health and wellbeing needs
  • Establish and maintain communication with various individuals and groups on complex potentially stressful topics, across a range of situations.
  • Develop own highly skilled and professional knowledge and practice and assist others to continually professionally develop.

  • To assist the Cardiology Services Manager in the running of the Cath Lab on a day to day basis
  • To co-ordinate and ensure all departmental audits are completed
  • To undertake evidence based projects, including recommendations for changes in practice
  • To line manage and develop a discrete team within the department including performance matters
  • To be involved in the recruitment of new members of staff
  • To be able to give judgement on a variety of complex clinical, staff & operational problems
  • To liaise with other departments and provide practical solutions to any issues which may arise (e.g. stock and equipment, etc)
  • To undertake clinical Cath Lab and Cardiology pre-assessment duties
  • To provide specialist education and teaching to junior Cath Lab staff and or other departments (e.g. ward staff, PACU/Recovery, Theatre/ODP, etc)
  • To act as a Specialist Cardiology resource for the multi-disciplinary team within Spire Healthcare
  • To assist in staff rotas maximising the use of staff, resources and activity within Cath Lab
Who we're looking for:
  • Degree (BSc Hons) or equivalent (minimum qualification)
  • Post graduate experience in relevant specialism
  • Experience of clinical leadership e.g. developing peers
  • Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied cases
  • Experience of working in partnership with consultants and participating in creating innovative solutions
  • Competence across a range of Cardiology/ Cath Lab skills supported by highly skilled professional and specialist knowledge.
  • Possess the Mandatory Trainingincluding Infection Control competences and health and safety
  • Root cause analysis
  • Demonstrate principles of accountable practice
  • Trained on MS Office and other relevant packages
  • English language to IELTS 7.0
  • Willing to work flexible patterns e.g. evenings/on call
  • Registration with the NMC/ ACHP/ Health Professions Council
  • Willing to participate in flexible working pattern at short notice
  • Empathy for vulnerable and sick patients
  • Empathy for principles and importance of EO and dignity at work
  • Lives within 60 minutes travelling time of the hospital
