Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cavity Wall Insulator to join our energy efficiency installation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing Climabead-approved cavity wall insulation systems in residential and commercial properties, ensuring all work meets current industry standards, health and safety regulations, and company quality expectations.

You will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality insulation installations that contribute to improved energy efficiency, reduced carbon emissions, and enhanced comfort for property owners.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out Cavity Wall Insulation installations using Climabead-approved materials and equipment. Conduct pre-installation checks and assess site conditions to ensure suitability for insulation work. Drill, inject, and seal cavity walls in accordance with manufacturer and BBA-approved procedures. Follow health and safety protocols at all times, including use of PPE and safe handling of equipment. Liaise with customers professionally to explain the installation process and answer queries. Report any issues or site irregularities to the Supervisor promptly. Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition.
RequirementsEssential:

Climabead-approved Cavity Wall Insulation training certificate (valid and up to date). Proven experience as a Cavity Wall Insulator or within the energy efficiency installation sector. Full UK driving licence. Good understanding of health and safety and working at height regulations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Desirable:

NVQ Level 2 in Insulation and Building Treatments (IBT) or equivalent qualification. Knowledge of ECO4 / PAS 2035 standards. Experience with other insulation systems (loft, underfloor, or external wall). CSCS card or equivalent site access certification.
