The CB supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operation of the CB department, guiding the team to deliver fantastic experiences for our guests and consistently delivering the company standards. To optimize opportunities and to help exceed budgeted targets. To work as part of a team and to constantly evaluate, train and improve the experience our guests receive.
Essential Functions
Work as part of a team and constantly evaluate, train and improve the experience of our guests
Effectively manage and facilitate all CB rotas, stock control, asset management
Supervise the back of house service areas to include cleanliness, hygiene, stock control and wastage
Attend weekly function pack meetings BEO, act as a key figure between Events and Operations using your knowledge and skill set developed in both areas
Host and direct guests at peak times eg conferences, arrivals, lunches and breaks
Support the team to complete mandatory training and facilitate and drive compliance
Preparing a daily staff briefing sheet
Assist with SOPs for your area and form a training manual for new recruits
Keep up to date with business trends, systems and practices within the food and beverage industry to enable us to remain current and open to opportunities to improve the profitability of the department
promote revenue awareness and maximise sales opportunities by up selling to all marketing segments both front and back of house
Help optimize opportunities to hit and exceed budgeted targets assisting the CB Manager in forecasting the business in terms of covers and sales figures
Ensure all health and safety processes and procedures are adhered to including food safety regulations and accident reporting
Competencies
Strong Food and Beverage background from within hotel or restaurant sector, preferably at a luxury standard
Timely and Efficient
As the hotel's level of business varies considerably, there is a need for flexibility in attitude, approach and working hours
Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience of supervising team members ensuring they deliver consistent quality of service is essential
Have a passion and strong knowledge for all things food, beverage, conference banqueting
Highly organised
Have an eye for detail
