We are seeking a skilled CCTV Engineer to join our team, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of surveillance and security systems across various client sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in low voltage systems, computer networking, and electrical components, with experience in field service and system design. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects involving CCTV, fire alarms, access control, and telecommunication systems, ensuring the safety and security of our clients' facilities.
Duties
Install, configure, and maintain CCTV surveillance systems, including cameras, sensors, and remote access software
Perform system troubleshooting and repairs for security systems such as IDS, alarm systems, and fire alarms
Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals related to low voltage electrical systems
Conduct cabling and wiring using hand tools and power tools in construction or retrofit environments
Integrate security systems with telecommunication networks and ensure proper connectivity for remote access
Collaborate with clients to assess system requirements and provide technical solutions tailored to their needs
Conduct site surveys to determine optimal placement of sensors, cameras, and other surveillance equipment
Ensure compliance with NEC standards and local electrical codes during installation and maintenance activities
Document system configurations, service reports, and maintenance activities accurately
Qualifications
Proven experience as a service technician or engineer specializing in security systems or surveillance technology
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, networking protocols, and telecommunication infrastructure
Mechanical knowledge related to construction practices and the use of hand tools and power tools
Familiarity with system design principles for low voltage wiring, cabling, and alarm systems
Experience working with IDS, sensors, CCTV cameras, fire alarms, access control systems, and security software
Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams effectively
Electrical experience including wiring practices for low voltage systems in compliance with NEC standards
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security system issues on-site
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred for field service assignments
