About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Security Systems Engineer to join our growing team. This role is predominantly based in the North of England, with national travel to various sites as required. The ideal candidate will specialize in the installation, repair, and maintenance of a range of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms. In addition to a competitive salary, the successful applicant will receive a company vehicle and fuel card, ensuring you have the tools you need to succeed in this dynamic and rewarding position.
The shift pattern for the role will be predominately Monday - Friday between the hours of 09:00 - 17:30 with a 1 hour break for lunch, however due to the nature of the role., work outside of these hours may be required when necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Security Systems Engineer.
Install, repair, and maintain a variety of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms.
Conduct site assessments to determine security system requirements and provide recommendations.
Communicate with clients to understand their security needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to security systems in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations during installations and maintenance.
Provide training and support to clients on the proper use of security systems.
Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and service calls.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in security technology.
Travel to various national sites as required, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the company.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Security Systems Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms.
Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CCTV installation, security system integration) preferred.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing security systems and related equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
A full Valid UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel to various sites across the country.
Familiarity with relevant safety standards and regulations in the security industry.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive attitude towards continuous learning and staying updated on industry advancements.
