Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
CCTV & IP networking Engineers
to design, deploy, and maintain state-of-the-art security systems for our diverse range of clients. In this role , you will play a key part in ensuring the efficient operation of CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems. This role offers the potential for overtime and the part time role also has an opportunity to transition into a full-time, permanent position very soon.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Deploy Security Systems
: Plan, configure, and deploy security solutions, including CCTV systems, access control systems, and intrusion detection systems tailored to client needs.
Local Area Networking
: Ensure seamless integration of physical security systems into client LAN environments, troubleshooting any networking issues related to these systems.
Configuration of Networking Equipment
: Configure and manage network switches and routers required to support physical security infrastructure.
System Installation & Commissioning
: Oversee the installation of security devices, ensuring they are correctly configured and fully operational.
Ongoing Maintenance & Support
: Provide post-deployment support, including troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades.
Collaboration with Clients
: Work closely with clients to understand their security needs, providing expert recommendations and ensuring systems are designed and installed to meet their specifications.
Documentation
: Maintain detailed records of system designs, configurations, and installations to ensure all activities are well-documented for future reference and compliance purposes.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in designing, deploying, and supporting CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems.
Strong understanding of local area networking (LAN) principles and the ability to configure network switches and routers.
Hands-on experience with network security devices and protocols to integrate physical security systems into existing IT infrastructures.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to physical security systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to security systems and networking.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
experienced in AutoCAD will be a great advantage
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in physical security or network engineering (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent).
Experience with public sector or heritage sector security infrastructure.
Knowledge of advanced security solutions (e.g., biometric systems, advanced surveillance technologies).
Familiarity with cloud-based security systems and remote monitoring solutions.
Good understanding of physical security, IP networking design tools and concepts
Working Hours & Conditions:
Full time role (minimum 40 Hours) has a potential for over time based on projects
Initial part-time role (minimum 20 hours per week), with potential for overtime and the opportunity to transition to a full-time permanent position.
All the work is client based which requires site visits to different client locations with no provision to work remotely or working from home.
